need help with this function:
f(x) = ((x+1)^2)/(1+x^2)

Can some one please show me the spets intercpt the y-axis, why asymptotes is 1 with steps, the sign of the gradient with steps, the turnning points and concavity with steps

Just enter the right hand side, ((x+1)^2)/(1+x^2), into:

(the basic function graphing calculator). You will get all the information you are looking for: intercepts, asymptotes, turning points, concavity with steps, sign of the derivative with steps (assuming that is what you mean by "gradient".)
