Re: Need help !

I am pretty much confused on how to solve this example: y=5/4x-2 y=5/4x-1 Can any body explain me this one a more specifically?

I am thinking that you mean to solve the two linear equations:

y=(5/4)x-2

and

y=(5/4)x-1

These are two parallel lines that never meet. That is, they have the same slope, (5/4) and their respective y-intercepts are -2 and -1.

You can plot them by entering: y=(5/4)x-2,y=(5/4)x-1 in our multiple equations calculator and you will "see" that they are parallel.
