Hello I need help with a calculus assignment

find the dy/dx of the following

1. y=xsins/root of secx

2. y=(x+2)sqrt (x+2)

Here's how to handle the second one:

(1) use the product rule, and
(2) use the chain rule:

y'=(x+2)*(d/dy)(sqrt(x+2))+sqrt(x+2)*(d/dy)(x+2)

rewrite sqrt(x+2)=(x+2)^(1/2) so you can use the power rule

y'=(x+2)*(1/2)(x+2)^(-1/2)*(d/dy)(x+2)+(x+2)^(1/2)*1
=(1/2)(x+2)^(1/2)+(x+2)^(1/2)
=(3/2)(x+2)^(1/2)
=(3/2)sqrt(x+2)

where (d/dy)(x+2)=1
